Or maybe we should ask what are you doing for fun this summer? Chances are you’ve probably been doing what we all have…a little bit of this and a little bit of that.
You scream, I scream, we all scream for water parks (and ice-cream, of course)!
If you didn’t join a pool this summer, we hope you had a chance to lounge around a pool somewhere. Here’s the Water Mine Family Swimmin’ Hole, in Reston, Virginia. It also happens to be Fairfax County’s best summer value and best kept secret!
We love San Fransisco, but we definitely left our heart in Philadelphia this summer.
We especially love the Giant Heart Interactive Experience at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is a definite a destination on our must visit list!
Speaking of history, George Washington presided over the Constitutional Convention, in the “rising sun” chair in the Assembly Room of Independence Hall, arranged as it was during the summer of 1787. You can get free tickets for a tour of Independence Hall given by National Park ranger, the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, at the Independence Visitor Center in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is also known for its other fight, or fighter. These are the famed steps of the “Rocky” movie which leads to the incredible Philadelphia Museum of Art. There is so much to do and see in Philadelphia! We definitely recommend a bus tour.
If you’re like us, summer is also about music and festivals.
The Gipsy Kings performed at Wolf Trap in Virginia this summer as some concert goers danced in the orchestra rows in the front while others delighted in the music with their picnics on the lawn.
Just a few weeks more weeks before it’s back to the hustle and bustle.
Nothing like an evening stroll in enchanting Balboa Park in San Diego.
